Lifeguard training an option during spring break

By Karlee Olmstead

Panther’s Tale

Spring break is coming up and everyone is excited. Some kids are going on vacation, while others are staying home.

There are kids working, and there are kids going to lifeguard training.

The DRC offers classes to be certified as a lifeguard. The class is five days long and you spend all day.

Without these classes, some kids wouldn’t have their summer jobs. The class is convenient for most people but also can be a pain.

The money you can make by being a certified lifeguard is rewarding.

In the long run, choosing to spend days during spring break at the DRC will pay off. The skills learned might come in handy somewhere besides the pool.
