Panther’s Tale

The Derby High School Panther’s Tale strives to inform its audience — the students of DHS, their parents and the community members of Derby — on important topics. These topics will not always be things that people want to talk about, but as journalists it is our mission to report on what readers need to know and not just what everyone wants to hear.

The staff will write and report in an unbiased, respectful, accurate and, when appropriate, entertaining manner. While mistakes are inevitable, we will do our best to minimize the number of errors.

Because we, the staff members, are still in high school learning, it is also our mission to continue improving our journalistic skills. At the end of the day, we hope that after you read our stories or look our pictures, you, the reader, will have a better understanding of what is going on here at Derby High School.
